On a glorious hot summer's day on the 29th June 2009, the 113,000 ton luxury cruise liner MV Crown Princess paid her first visit to the city. She is the sister ship to a regular visitor to the city the MV Grand Princess. The Crown Princess is the largest cruise ship ever to dock at the Cruise Liner Terminal to date and thousands turned out to see her during her 12 hour stay. She left our City at 7.00pm and turned away from the Cruise Liner Terminal with the aid of just two tugs and continued on her round the UK cruise to Dublin.
