The QE2's first visit to Liverpool was on Tuesday 24th July 1990 as part of Cunard's 150 year celebrations. It was estimated that over 1million people lined the banks of the Mersey to see her arrive. She dropped anchor opposite the Cunard Buildings on the Pier Head. I took these photos while on board one of the Mersey Ferries, which offered un-rivaled views of the famous liner while she was at anchor.
