Liverpool Welcomes the Queen Mary 2
Back To Home Page
On 20th October 2009 Liverpool welcomed the world's largest passenger liner to the city for the first time. The 148,528 ton Cunard flagship Queen Mary 2 sailed up the Mersey and berthed at the new Liner Terminal at 11.45am and spent the day sampling the cities delights and left at 11.00pm to a firework salute.   Unfortunately we couldn't make the fireworks, but we went down to Crosby beach to see her arrive and then went to see her at the terminal. What a sight she was.
